KDH Whitetail Nursery was established in 2004. 

We are a full care hands on bottle raising facility located in South Texas.

 

  We have extended our knowledge of breeding top ranked Best in Show dogs and high-end performance horses to the deer industry. With the input of many great deer veterinarians and breeders we have transfered our breeding knowledge and care to specialize in bottle raising some of the best deer in Texas.

  

  We offer a wide range of services across Texas to accomidate our clients, from pickup and delivery to rehabilitation. Our experience has lead us to have a high survival rate in the care of tiny, one pound, fawns.

 

  The 24 hour care of your fawn is our top priority.

 

We hand feed every fawn with fresh goat colostrum and fresh goat milk to help provide the closest thing to the mother's milk as possible.

 

Every fawn is wormed monthly, fed fawn pellets, alfalfa and treats. Fawns are kept in a building and monitored for the first two weeks, then moved to outdoor grass pens as they grow.

 

Every breeder is assigned an I.D. and their fawns are never mixed with another breeders fawns. Our fawns are socialized to people, noises and livestock.

 

We have a veterinarian walk through the nursery weekly to check on fawns. We have an on call veterinarian we contact for emergancies. 

 

In addition to our bottle raising we offer rehabilitation for broken legs, back injuries and sprains.
