At KDH Whitetail Nursery we beleive that hands on education is a vital part of the animal care industry.

We offer two internship opportunities, Summer and Fall. 

 

Summer is May to August.

Fall is August to October or November (length is based on arrival of late fawns).

 

We are looking for college students and recent graduates to assist in the hand raising of whitetail fawns.

 

Our interns have the opportunity to learn about the Whitetail Deer industry in Texas and the basics of fawn care. In working closely with vets the interns will learn medications for fawns, how to administer various meds and why, the same for injuries if they arrive.
